Get ready for Spencer Makenzie’s 14thannual three-day Throw Down Cornhole Festival which will take place from Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds!
This event began 14 years ago as a local street competition event but as cornhole has skyrocketed in popularity over the past decade, this tournament has grown and today pays out more in cash prizes than any other tournament (and will even be streamed on ESPN!).
More than 1,000 teams comprising of the best players from the lower 48, plus Hawaii -- as well as teams from Canada, Mexico, England, Venezuela and Sweden are competing for $350,000 in cash prizes.
There will be other on-site activations at the fairgrounds during the tournament including a vintage car truck show, a mini food festival, live music and a hatchet throwing tournament -- making it the world’s biggest, arguably most fun, and most popular cornhole tournament in the world. Plus, the event takes place in a stunning oceanside location.
Those who want to play cornhole just for fun during the tournament are invited to play for free on the open-to-the-public courts.
Friday’s activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to whenever the finals are completed.
